Encapsulated, 2020
Handsewn silk sculptures encapsulated in epoxy resin. The resin makes the figures and body parts turn stiff and gives them a glass like surface. Did they just take a swim, are they captured in ice, preserved in formalin or fossilized in amber? The project was initiated before corona, but can seem to talk about social distance and protection.
